Law enforcement fanned out across Saline County to round up felony warrant suspects for Operation Ghost Buster.

Officers made some arrests but like ghosts, some of the wanted were invisible. After studying their plan of action, law enforcement officers from several agencies in Saline County headed out for Operation Ghost Buster.

Rain disguised the officers as they went door-to-door searching for 81 felony and misdemeanor offenders with warrants out.

"Most are felony warrants [and] domestic battery warrants. There's some child support warrants, warrants for failure to appear," Lt. Mike Frost said.

At a couple of spots it seemed their targets pulled a vanishing act. In one case the suspect gave the address of an acquaintance; another address turned out to be a vacant house.

Officers quickly moved on.  "We can go to other means to track them down, [for instance through] known associates, relatives," Frost said.

At one stop officers knocked on the door and didn't get an answer but instinct and the sound of noise from inside lead them to believe someone was home. They pulled back and sure enough a man came outside. He was not the man they were looking for but they still managed to nab a wanted person.

"We ran a license check on him," Frost said.  "When we did that it showed he had a warrant out of Mississippi. It's a drug warrant."

They used his cell phone to call the man they originally wanted and urged him to turn himself in. They're still waiting for him to appear but at least he and others are on notice that these officers won't give up.

Officers from six agencies across Saline County took part in Operation Ghost Buster. They made 23 arrests and served 39 warrants.

If BO would focus on spending our "tax" money cleaning up all the drug dealers, all the illegal's, all the rapist and crime in all our city's. That would be money well spent!

Now if they would just make similar operations here in Batesville to get rid of the illegal's. Don't want them in jail or even arrested. Just simply ship them out of MY country.
