LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Garland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a house fire where 28 cats were found dead. Another 11 cats were found injured and were taken to a veterinarian.

The fire was located at 317 Northgate Street, just west of Hot Springs.

The incident report says the homeowner was asked by Animal Services and the Health Department to clean up his residence on two occasions, once in 2010 and again on September 14th.

Three days after the second complaint, the house caught fire.

The sheriff’s department says no charges have been filed, but charges for cruelty to animals or animal neglect are likely.

Send this person to jail for 5 years for each cat that died. For people who don't care for their animals should pay the price. Their is no reason this should have happened.
