JONESBORO, AR - Authorities are searching for three men who escaped from the Craighead County Detention Center Wednesday night around 8:30.
The Craighead County Sheriff says the inmates escaped at shift change as jailers were making their rounds. Immediately after their bed check, while the jailers were otherwise occupied, the sheriff says the men slipped into a hallway and climbed the wall to reach a plumbers chase. Once there they were able to access a door that led to the yard around the facility. They threw a blanket over the razor-wire topped fence, and climbed over.
The escapees have been identified as
- Jason Brown, 5' 9", 165 lbs with blue eyes and blond hair. Serving time for Arson.
- Zachary Dunn, 5' 11", 170 lbs with green eyes and brown hair. Serving time for Possession of a Controlled Substance (METH).
- Korey Kitchen, 6' 2", 175 lbs with brown eyes and brown hair. Serving time for Residential Burglary.
