CONWAY, AR - "Very scared," said Christina Urbin. "It's very scary." Urbin says someone broke into her two trucks, and it gets even worse.

The morning it all happened, she woke up around 4 a.m. and made some coffee. Then she sat down on the couch for a minute before walking by her front door.

"Walked by, heat over me," she described. "Didn't even realize that the door was open, and I just felt heat."

She felt heat because her front door was open with a key still in it. The key had been in one of the truck's cup holders, and the truck door had been unlocked.

Turns out Urbin's far from the only one telling this story these days in Conway. Police say in the past two weeks, more than 30 cars have been broken into all over the city.

"A lot of these, the doors are just unlocked," explained Conway Police Spokesperson Latresha Woodruff. "People just don't think about it."

Police have no suspects at this time. They think one person or one group of people is likely responsible for a lot of the crimes.

As for Urbin, she's lucky because the thieves didn't actually steal anything from her. They did scare her though, so now, she isn't keeping a spare house key in her truck, she's making sure all of her doors are locked, and if that's not enough, she changed her pet German Shephard's sleeping arrangement.

"I had him in a cage sleeping in my room, but now he runs the house so, uh, very very vicious dog," she laughed.

All of the car break-in's are ongoing investigations. If you have information about any of them, you're asked to please call Conway police.

It is not a smart thing to leave your vehicle unlocked, nor is it smart to leave a house key in an unlocked vehicle. On the other hand, if a low life piece of shat criminal wants to break into a vehicle or house, a locked door wont stop them. Just remember folks, shoot them INSIDE your house, not outside.

Yes it is charlie. Not to mention leaving a house key in your vehicle. I carry spare keys to the truck and house in my wallet; never go outside without it.

Hard to believe that people have become too lazy to push the lock button on their key fob!
