LITTLE ROCK, AR – The National Weather Service reports that damage from 4 tornadoes were found in Arkansas related to Tuesday’s storms.

In eastern Pulaski County, south of Scott, surveyors found damage from an EF-0 tornado. The tornado blew down a few trees and stripped a barn of most of its roof. The NWS says the same barn lost its roof during a tornado on April 25th, 2011.

In Drew County, east of Monticello, an EF-0 tornado blew off the roof of a mobile home, destroyed a carport, damaged outbuildings, blew over trees, one of which knocked down power lines and a utility pole.

In Washington County, an EF-1 tornado damaged 40 to 50 homes near Elkins, the worst of which had portions of their roofs blown off. The NWS says numerous trees were uprooted, power poles blown down, and several chicken houses and outbuildings were destroyed.

The first tornado to strike Arkansas actually touched down in Oklahoma and ran into Crawford County north of Natural Dam. The EF-2 tornado’s path was 9 miles long and 700 yards wide, but in the rural territory, only knocked down some power lines and caused some minor damage to a house.
