LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has approved a proposed ballot title that would legalize medical marijuana in the Natural State.

A ballot title proposed by Arkansans for Responsible Medicine, called "The Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act," was approved as submitted by the attorney general on Tuesday.

The ballot title must now collect roughly 64,000 signatures from registered voters in Arkansas.

McDaniel also rejected a proposed ballot title from Arkansans for Compassionate Care on Tuesday. The opinion cites ambiguities in the text of the proposed measure.
