JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas State receiver Allen Muse is facing a misdemeanor charge following a domestic dispute.
The 6-4, 200-pound Muse was arrested Wednesday night after his mother-in-law called university police.
A report on the incident says Muse broke down a bathroom door after his wife locked herself in with his phone. There is no indication in the report that anyone was struck.
Muse was cited for third-degree assault and was released on $775 bond.
Muse didn't immediately return a phone message Friday seeking comment.
University spokesman Jerry Scott says coach Gus Malzahn is aware of the situation and will "respond appropriately" once he's gathered all the facts.
The Red Wolves (0-1) play Memphis (0-1) on Saturday in Jonesboro. Kickoff is 6 p.m.
