LITTLE ROCK, AR – There are new details in the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl in Northeastern Arkansas.

Crews are using airplanes, four wheelers and dive teams to search for Sidney Nicole Randall, who was last seen in Walnut Ridge Saturday night.

She is 5'4" tall, 85 pounds, with green eyes and brown, shoulder length hair. She was last seen wearing a brown Aeropostle jacket.

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office says the girl's mother realized she was missing around 10 o'clock Saturday night, along with her stepfather, John Cornell. The woman told deputies Cornell came home Sunday morning around 4 o'clock and after she confronted him, he left again a few minutes later.

Authorities started checking cabins and the surrounding area. The mother gave them computers, phones and other items for the investigation.

Shortly after lunch on Monday, a man cleaning a ditch with a track-hoe saw the red truck. He backed out of the ditch remembering the truck from the news. The sheriff and police chief went to the scene and identified the truck, searched the area and found Cornell's body about 100 yards away.

He was dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Note: Most of the photos show the missing girl with longer hair but her hair is now shoulder-length.

A Level 2 Morgan Nick Amber Alert was issued for the missing teen Monday afternoon.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Walnut Ridge Police Department at 870-886-2525.

Via our sister station in Memphis, WPTY:

According to the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, John Cornell, the step-dad to Randall, was found dead this afternoon on a farm road just off Lawrence Road 438 just outside of Walnut Ridge.

The sheriff's department said Cornell was in the red Ford Ranger they were searching for, and died of a gunshot wound. Police would not comment if the wound was self-inflicted pending the ongoing investigation.

Police say Cornell was the main suspect in Randall's disappearance, and was wanted for questioning.

Police say Sidney Nicole Randell is still missing, and ASP says her safety is in question. She was last seen around 10p Saturday night.

I don't understand why the mother wasn't more aware. She stated on tv last night that he was infatuated with this girl to the extent that he was jealous of what she did and who she talked to.It doesn't sound good but,we can just pray for a safe return.I know this has to be a mothers worst nightmare.

OMG this is aweful and I'm trying to be positive. Sounds to me like the step-daddy killed himself because he has a gulity conscious. I pray that he didn't do that to the girl and leave her body somewhere
