LITTLE ROCK, AR -- According to a lease agreement, 7706 Burnelle Drive is supposed to be Shalisa Robinson's home.  Last month, she paid $550 to Imran Bohra, but she said they agreed she wouldn't move in to the Little Rock home until he made repairs.

"He said it was going to take two days for him to fix it, but mold, a big hole, the floor -- that takes more than two days," Robinson said.

She said the work never took place, and after several weeks, she asked Bohra for her money back.  She said he refused to and now he won't answer the phone.

"He told me my money is gone and take him to court," Robinson said.

Robinson, though, still has the key to the house.  What a surprise when she unlocked it and saw someone else lives there -- with repairs!

Last week when FOX16 called Bohra, he hung  up.   Today, we went to his house but no answer.

"Instead of being $500 in the hole, I could be paying for my child's milk or pampers," Robinson said.

Robinson said she never thought getting a home for her family would be so difficult.

"You talk so sweet and concerned about my child but the whole time it was to bait me in to take my money," Robinson said.

She's willing spend more in court to get it all back.

Sadly, in Arkansas it's perfectly legal for landlords to do this. The tenant or prospective tenant has to take the landlord to court to get their money back. This kind of thing happens too often because there aren't any laws to protect renters.

this man has over 500 houses in Little Rock and North Little Rock, 95% of them are not fit to live in. He is in enviromental court all the time, he doesn't even bother to show up he sends his Lawyers. Other than being a Slumload he is not a bad person, someone said his old butt is on drugs.

The state should require rental property owners hold a state license that can be revoked for crap like this.

Now that his name is out in the public, I hope no one else will rent from him. Sad part is that these slumlords are not held to any ethical standards like other business owners. If I duped people out of money for services, they would string my ass up on theft by deception charges and anything else they can find. This POS needs to be charged with some type of crime and made to give back all of the money he screwed people out of and made to pay their court costs.

I used to rent from him years ago ... didn't know he was still around. It doesn't surprise me that he did this. He is a thief and will take your money and heavens forbid if you need any repairs done.
