LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Gov. Mike Beebe says Arkansas flags at the Capitol and other state-owned buildings will be flown at half-staff as a mark of respect for the people who died during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11.
Beebe proclaimed that the state flags will be flown at half-staff at those buildings from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday — the 11th anniversary of the attacks.
The governor also encouraged Arkansans to participate in some sort of community service to honor the people who died as a result of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
