LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas lottery officials say the lottery has surpassed $300 million in contributions to college scholarships.

Lottery Director Bishop Woosley said Monday that the lottery passed the mark at the end of November and has provided scholarships to about 90,000 students.

The lottery was approved by Arkansas voters in 2008 and sales began in September 2009. Lottery tickets are sold at about 1,900 businesses and are available in all 75 Arkansas counties.

IT LOOKS TO ME LIKE THE LOTTERY MONEY WOULD BE ENOUGH TO SEND EVERY KID WHO HAS LIVED IN ARKANSAS FOR AT LEAST FOUR YEARS TO COLLEGE FREE....MAKE THEM KEEP AT LEAST A STRAIGHT "B" GRADE AVERAGE TO KEEP GOING.
