armyofone does have a point, the synthetic marijuana or spice, whatever formula or name it has this week is very dangerous, unregulated, and those making it can change the molecular footprint of it as to evade regulation and that makes them able to sell it and that synthetic stuff is dangerous and who knows what kind of things it does, and medical-marijuana the natural herb has none of these issues. Along the same vein, the bathsalts or whatever that is for the week is the same way, can kill people and the folks who make that change its formula to stay under the radar. These drugs are far-more dangerous than medical-marijuana is. People don't see this issue because most do not know about it and class all these drugs together as "dope." There is a huge difference in synthetic drugs as bath-salts, spice and those are not the same as medical-marijuana and should not even be generalized that way. Why worry about a gate-way, when we've got an entire section of the fence gone in the back-forty? It's time we looked at this with reason instead of hopping on bandwagons and burning witches...

Oh, it is one of the main things used for HIV / AIDS. But the opposing argument to this is "Well there is a pill," but those pills are or do not help. There is something to be said of using a natural drug opposed to a synthetic THC drug w/ has none of the other synergistic properties of the whole plant or herb. I know it works, after all I am Hep C free, and I never want to have to endure that treatment again. Thank goodness I took the risk of using medical-marijuana because it helped cure not kill.

sorry the comment was incomplete, here's the rest of it... Every drug which is abused and misused is bad, but drugs which used wisely and responsibly, can actually help cure people of diseases that will actually kill them eventually, like Hepatitis C. This natural herb helps with chemo-patients as those with cancer, chronic pain as with Fibro-Myalgia, gastro-intestinal illnesses and disorders, even for very painful PMS. It is past the time where we took an honest look at this drug and realize it does have medical-benefit. And then wonder how many people who were criminalized by using it for treating their medical conditions as those who are unable or not fortunate to be able to afford medical-care. It’s time to honestly face this issue and put an end to the stigma and those who suffer in silence, for compassion’s sake.

How is medical-marijuana useful? For many illnesses, this natural herb helps those people who cannot tolerate powerful pain medicines to help end suffering or at least decrease it to a point where it can be tolerated. For me, medical-marijuana played a huge part in being able to tolerate intense chemo-therapy for Hepatitis C, which thankfully, I am and have been cured of since 2005. And I was lucky, that I had an “easy-to-treat” form of Hepatitis C, and I only had to endure the interferon injections and Ribavirin pills for six months. Most have to take treatment for a year or longer and cannot tolerate it, since it’s so hard on the body and mind. It makes you feel as if you have had the flu for six months or however long you are taking it. My doctor had to lower the dose of interferon three times because my blood levels had dropped so much, any lower and it could be fatal. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but I made it through and thank G_d I was cured of it. Not many people are this lucky, this interferon is chemo-therapy, and you feel horrible and hurt all over while you are taking it. I know Marijuana is illegal, but I knew it helped due to the things I’ve learned about it. What is so sad about it is the people who can be best helped by medical-marijuana cannot get it or won’t use it since it is illegal. But if it were medically available, they would. It is for these folks that I tell my story that don’t have a voice or are unwilling to due to the controversy surrounding this issue. This natural herb is not deserving of the propaganda surrounding it and this misconception is from decades ago and is known as “Reefer Madness,” and that story is based-on and is propaganda. There is a valid-use for this natural herb and there is no known amount in which a person can overdose in taking it, the side-effects are being hungry, and perhaps sleeping. It’s not the horrible thing people believe it is, nor are the people who use it. Every drug w

I don't agree with drugs period, but you have real criminals out their who deserve to be in prison. We have a serious overcrowding issue in our system. Legalize marijuana now stop putting people in jail for using and selling to make room for the violent offenders. the synthetic drug people think is okay to smoke is making the news for some crazy stuff.

If, the key word here being "if", the government can figure out a way to put a tax on marijuana, Mary Jane, pot, or what ever you want to call it, only then will it be legal.

Vote marijuana legal, put a "munchies tax" on Hawaiian Punch, Cheetos and what not and watch our national debt go bye bye. LOL.

I signed. We got the lottery when others thought we wouldn't. Keeping my fingers crossed. Even though I don't use it, there are so many out there that could benefit from it. =)
