WYNNE, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in Cross County say a pastor is being held on a charge of having sex with a minor, and the girl's family members say she is pregnant.

Cross County sheriff's deputies say 39-year-old James Edward Davis has a court appearance set for March 8. He is accused of sexually assaulting the girl four times since 2010.

The sheriff's office on Monday wouldn't release bond information regarding Davis and couldn't say whether he has an attorney.

Jonesboro television station KAIT reports Davis is pastor of Morning Star Baptist Church south of Wynne near Cotton Plant.

Investigators say Davis is the former boyfriend of the girl's mother, who is currently in jail.

Look into the smile, the smile is beacuse he is proud. He looks as if he just won the lottery. Either way inmate in jail don't like child pedophiles and will do him in as soon as they can. How can a Minister, Preacher or a church going person do such a thing. I say this only because they know darn well God will punish them.

I hope the mother is in jail for trying to kill this , low life piece of crap , bet if he don't go to jail he'll run from child support.. he need the beat down, to the point where he thinks he's dead , and what's the smile about ? There seems to be a major out-break of pedophiles this year. It makes me sick to think how many more there are out there. Getting to be where you don't want to let anyone near your children. Is there no known ways of spotting these perv's quicker?
