LITTLE ROCK,AR- Arkansans fired up their grills Saturday all for a good cause.
The Sixth Annual B Street Rib Off was held at MacArthur Park in Little Rock.
Sixteen teams from around The Natural State took part in the BBQ cooking competition.
The categories included ribs, chicken, and side dishes.
Organizers hope to raise at least $3,000 to help cancer patients in Arkansas.
Founder of the event Jason Brown says, "We don't give away money to winners here. It's trophies only and folks that come here to compete understand that our most important goal is giving away money to the American Cancer Society."
The B Street Rib Off was founded in 2008 by Jason Brown, Justin Hinton and Matthew Ross as a friendly competition to establish
the best rib cook in the group.
The founders eventually turned the annual event into a nonprofit organization.
