LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The editor of a local publication is retracting a move she called an exercise of free speech.

Gwen Moritz posted personal information, including names and zip codes of Arkansas' concealed carry list on the Arkansas Business website.

A Facebook group since popped up called "Gwen Moritz breaks the law" that has a picture of the editor behind jail bars, saying she had broken Arkansas law.

The page also listed her personal information, including her address and phone number.

In the same publication she used to call out permit holders, Moritz issued an apology acknowledging she did not break the law, but saying her motive was pure and that she quickly realized what she did was wrong.

The apology went on to say she had to disconnect her house phone after it rang off the hook, and that she has recieved some threatening backlash.

it is NOW against the law - wasn't when she did it (still doesn't make it right). calling and threatening her - two wrongs. (Folks, don't let one persons stupid decision goad you into doing something stupid, too.) The biggest problem is she felt her motive was pure... she actually didn't see a problem with what she was about to do, even with the glaring examples of similar idiocy in New York just this past December. Several of those whose info was published were burglarized, and their weapons are (in some cases) now on the street. Invasion of privacy is getting too common, and there needs to be repercussions.

Yes she might of got carried away. As long as it hasn't caused anyone any damage it's a wash. You have to be able to prove what she did was the direct cause of your damage. It could be hard to do. Besides all she did was print the truth. Now you seem to be calling for people to pay that brake the law. I like that. So what do you say. Lets start with publishing a list of all the law beakers that made the harassing phone calls to this woman. It is against the law. My phone records. If you say the wrong thing I've got it recorded. A court order will get your number regardless if you blocked it or not. If you want laws enforced enforce them all to the letter. If you charge her you have charge all the callers too. Only right thing to do. The charge. Harassing communications.

Why is she still employed? I understand the whole first amendment argument but its similar to yelling fire in a crowded theater, when you put other people's lives or property at risk you are crossing the line. I think any credibility she may have had is now long gone.

Put her in jail. She knew what she was doing. Now she disconnects her phone. It is funny when the rabbit has the gun. She wants to publish personal information about law abiding citizens that could get them and their family members killed but she does not want her personal information published. She should be incarcerated and fired.

What does her publication "Arkansas Business" have to do with our business of having a CCP? She is an idiot, as confirmed by her saying so. Put her in jail for breaking the law.
