Arkansas House Votes to Keep Conceal Carry Names Private

Information about who has conceal carry permits in Arkansas will soon be kept private.

The House voted 84-3 to no longer make conceal carry permit holders' names and zip codes available under the Freedom of Information Act.

The bill sponsor says he filed the legislation in response to a New York area newspaper that published the names of conceal carry permit holders immediately after the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting.

Anyone know the bill number on this? I would like to see who the 3 no votes were. I have been tracking my state rep on these issues to see if she gets my vote later

wp; good question. Hard to answer though. Who knows what goes through the minds of liberals? I guess it's part of their agenda to disarm us.

why would you want to put them on a public list anyway? Who's business is it? Thanks for a common sense vote.

It really is reassuring to know I live in a common sense state. The legislature that is coming out of the House regarding guns should be a model to the nation. And for anyone thinking that it's back woods and irresponsible I'd be more than happy to pay for your gas to Illinois or New York.
