I look at this from a very practical and realistic way. If you think it is wrong for me to possess marijuana to consume under my own freewill and that it should be illegal, you have not only obligated yourself into the position of accepting responsibility for the damages and deaths associated with what you believe to be right for me to consume and legal for me to purchase and possess, you have entitled me the right to demand proof that you can and will accept responsibility for them. Man up or quit invading my right to be individually different.

I have to respectfully disagree with you Leatherneck. I smoked it for around 25 years; and still would be if not for heart disease. I never was a "dealer"; not that I didn't try though. My brother in law and I bought a lb in Tucson in the 70's; we were going to sell half to make our $80 back; we ended up smoking the whole thing with friends. I never committed a crime to support my habit either; I worked for every dime I spent on weed. God made EVERYTHING for a purpose. Genesis 1: 11, 12. You are running for sherriff; if you want to save lives, families, relationships; and stop spousal abuse, crime, and people getting killed by drunk drivers; outlaw booze and prescription drugs! The only thing I ever attacked while high was food!

What some people on here don't seem to understand is, that there is a difference between a drug dealer and someone authorized to sale it. So if this passes, who is going to be the ones that lay the ground rules and laws? The lawmakers correct? Now when someone opens a shop to sale it, are the people that work actually going to look at a persons, ID, medical documents showing that they can buy it and obide by the laws? VERY DOUBTFUL. This just brings on more cases of fraudulent documents, forgery and shall I say tax evasion on the part of the store owners. Someone show me a business owner that will train their personnel to make sure they check documentation on every person that walks through the door saying they are authorized medically to buy it. To the person that said God grows it. God Grows alot of things, doesn't mean it's good for you.

American taxpayers are being forced to pay $40 Billion a year for a prohibition that causes 10,000 brutal murders & 800,000 needless arrests each year, but which doesn't even stop CHILDREN getting marijuana. After seventy years of prohibition, it's obvious that the federal marijuana prohibition causes FAR more harm than good and must END! Drug Dealers Don't Card, Supermarkets Do.

I see an opportunity for AR to move into the 21st Century! And be the first Southern state in something good for a change also. Hat's off to the AR "high" court. The drug companies, the ignorant Christians, the uneducated, and the "coalition"; sorry ya'll, you lost this round; hope you lose the next one in November!

Good for Arkansas! If those that oppose were sick, and had trouble with the harsh, damaging pills the doctors give them, then they would be on board as well. Finally an example of a victory FOR the people of Arkansas and not another imposition.

Besides the fact that it will help people, think of the potential revenue it will generate for the state. We could settle our national dept quickly as well as get people away from some of the pharmaceutical companies power. The drug companies dont want us to have it because they will lose money. They are profiting from peoples suffering that could be eased by an all natural plant.

think of the jobs that can be created if this passes. even jobs to protect dispensaries, deliveries, the list goes on. think of the prisons not being so full. there's more crime in prisons because marijuanna is illegal. whole families suffer when loved ones go to jail. passing this, no pun intended, will actually SAVE the state, counties, cities alot of money, time, energy, effort.

Let the People vote and stop trying protect people from themselves. It's less dangerous than the chemicals being prescribed by doctors everyday. Me thinks you're being paid by the drug companies.

wirenut; if slavery was right in the past why is it wrong today? If it was wrong for a woman to vote before 1920 why is it right today?
