Arkansas NeoCons are Absolute HIPPOCRATES! I voted Rebublican across the board in District 4! You NeoCons refused to allow Obama to dictate your healthcare.....Yet you have no problem dictating mine! I wore the uniform of this Great Country and for doing so I am 100% Total and Permanently Service Connected Disabled. I have no idea if Medical Marijuana will help my pain, I have no legal Avenue to find out, and too much to lose by doing so illegally. I can tell you that the Hand-full of pills I take daily and another hand-full to help the side effect from the first are not good for me, you, or anyone else. YOU PAY FOR THEM! I did not ask you to pay for Medical Marijuana! I only asked you to give me the same OPTION TO CHOOSE that you want out of the next President. How dare you say your part of the Moral Majority! What's good for the goose isn't good for the Gander? Plain and simple The Neocons of Arkansas stand only for "their" Brand of Fascism and against the other side's Brand of Fascism, But Never for the People, Never for what is right. It's ok though I'll Continue to relieve my pain on your Dollars at 4 and 5 times the price. I only wanted the chance to choose on my own dime. Sincerely, Disillusioned, Disabled Veteran of the Country I can no longer Recognize.

It,s a sad thing that a state whose logo is "The Natural State" cannot pass the medical Marijuana proposal. All of the naysayers have probably never tried it. If they had, they would then discover the wonderful feeling of calm and happiness, especially after a hard day of work. This natural herb has so many benifits for everyone, but especially the cancer patients who lose most of their pain and also their appetite returns so that they can remain healthy while the Chemo does it's job. Please study up on what you have not tried to be prepared for the next proposal. We will not stop bringing this up to the people.

getright; Your comment made me think of my step-mother. She thinks wine in the Bible is grape juice; as do many others. You can't fix stupid, and it's difficult to fix ignorance. If Average Arky is indeed average; that means his IQ is almost 30 points lower than mine, and as he said - that explains a great deal! LOL And you are correct getright; I smoked for 25 years; daily. I worked to pay for my weed, and never committed a crime while high, other than getting high; LOL. Listened to music, danced, read books, did puzzles, enjoyed movies, and had fun with the women in my life.

Ark Yank, your correct about the scripture. I would bet a bottom dollar that Average Arky would vote for the state to be dry also. Even if Jesus did turn water into wine. I also am a Christian and voted for it and will again. Wish we were like Was. And Col. It does wonders for my back with out killing my kidneys. Sad part is, it will pass and it’s just a mater of time, but people, who don’t have a clue, will blame every crime on it. I think law enforcement will cry like babies when it does pass. Their cash cow will be gone and they just might have to get some real work done. As far as a rise in crime, I ain’t never seen anybody get stoned and say, let go rob/ rape/ steel. I have seen many read a book, watch the tube, work on a puzzle or listen to some good tunes!

ArkansasYankee "explains a great deal"? Arkansas was split on joining the south. The northern half, which didn't rely on cotton and slaves, supported staying in the Union; the state government joined the South because the rich slave owners in the southern part of the state "owned" the state legislators. After the fall of LR in '63, Arkansans formed 11 infrantry regiments, 4 cavalry remgiments, and 2 artillery batteries for the Union Army. Don't tell me there were no Arkansas Yankees! Not all were slave owners, and many were still patriotic to the United States of America! Me? Back then, I would have probably fought for the state I lived in. A civil war database has several hundred men with my last name in it; two thirds fought for the south. Read a little, it doesn't hurt! Malcolm; read Genesis 1:11,12 please. Word of God isn't it? Butch; it should be legal in all 50 states! Two is a start though! The ball is rolling. Roll another one, just like the other one....

I can only glean one thing from reading all the comments. The American culture of instant gratification is well and alive. Add to that the newest affliction..culture of dependency.

Hey guys they made it legal for recreational use in two states. Colorado and Washington. Thing is Granny and I are not from here. Why stay here with a bunch of backwoods hillbillies. This state holds a record that you can't dispute. It has the lowest rating in everything. All of you that can should join us. I love pot. I aim to smoke it. I'm tired of being in trouble over it. Trouble. Did I say how I had a file in lots of federal offices. Like the DTF,ATF,FBI, and U.S. Marshall's. This is a state that would put you in jail with a felony charge if you hurt an animal. They don't think it should suffer. But the human animal can hurt with agonizing pain and they could care less. Treat it with prescription medicine that is highly addictive and brings on a bigger nightmare. How do you think I got that record. Grew up with the dream of being an addicted smuggler. NO. I got that way under the best medical care this state has to offer. As a member of the human race without inbreed brain dead traits I consider it an insult.

BTW, I never said I was for it or against it. My opinion is my own and it certainly won't influence anyone else. I just wish people would be completely honest about things from the start. This applies to everything not just this bill.
