I learned at a young age the important art of self defense. At one time my job required it. I've taught it. I got a belt that has nothing to do with pants or gun holding. I walk where I want. Shop where I want. Go where I want. If you hint that you might even say something to me I'll take your breath. I never wear many clothes. I flaunt what I got baby so the first thing you know is I don't carry a deadly weapon. I will be left alone. I bet I can crush a wind pipe while a fool is making that fast draw. Yankee we all got to go sometime. Something we all do. You know something else. Till I do I will be left alone. Besides being a thug in the past I was also a military policeman. You see I don't like no one.

Butch, you bring up a good point; they've always been around, but the guys you named, how did they end up? Some say they were killed, some say they lived longer lives using an alias. Boot Hill is full of guys that were strung up legally. It's just one opinion, but I'm for open carry. AZ had it while I lived there for almost 10 years, and contrary to El Beebe's belief, blood did not run in the streets. If we had open carry here, maybe it would; but I'd bet it would be the thugs blood that would be running in the streets; and that would be a good thing, right?

Good posts, bottom line is get a concealed permit and stay alert as to what is around you. When a couple of these ghetto thugs get wasted and the shooter gets a medal, things might change.

Look into getting some self defense training as well as getting educated and trained in the use of a weapon and get a concealed carry permit. The law isnt always right there, so we the people need to prepare ourselves for the dangers of the world to our best ability.

Let's look at history. When they open carried was the crime rate any better. Maybe if you could exclude Billy the Kid, Frank and Jessie James, the younger boys, and thousands more. Maybe open carry would discourage this type of crime. If the robber had to think of the possibility of 10 guns pointing back at him/her, might not be so temped to rob or mug someone.

That is a real GOOD comment. Ya have to defend yourself, they are never around where you need them you can be dead by the time they get there. Thats why we ALL need our own weapon.
