NORFORK, Ark. (AP) — Authorities in Baxter County are investigating the shooting death of a Salesville man.
Sheriff John Montgomery says emergency crews responded to a call Monday night from a woman who said that a man had been shot accidentally. Authorities responded to a home in Norfork, where 65-year-old Dennis Franklin Chapman was pronounced dead.
Authorities say Arkansas State Police and the Baxter County Sheriff's Office are investigating.
Chapman's body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy.
