Bad Accident In Hot Springs

Car accident in Hot Springs involved several vehicles.
HOT SPRINGS, AR-A serious three car accident caused a huge traffic headache Saturday morning, but amazingly no one was injured.

The accident occurred in heavy rain and thunder just before 10am in the 1400 block of Airport Road.

A gray Chevrolet Silverado truck owned by Darrel Kunkel Plumbing Inc. struck a black Chevrolet Silverado truck in the passenger side. The black Silverado then struck a white Chevrolet S-10 pickup head on in the inside westbound lane.

Traffic was slowed to a crawl in both directions for around an hour. 70 West Fire Department assisted with clean up of the highway and three wreckers were required to tow away the wrecked trucks. Arkansas State Police worked the accident with traffic assistance from Hot Springs Police and the Garland County Sheriff’s Department. It was not immediately known if any citations were issued or who was at fault.
