BENTON, AR - The Benton Police Department has made an arrest as it investigates a string of property crimes.

On Monday, detectives charged Derrel James, 48, in four incidents that took place at the AT&T storage facility on Shenandoah Drive.

Over the course of the past few weeks the business had more than 11-thousand dollars worth of copper wire and other items stolen from an outside storage area. There was also several hundred dollars worth of damage done to get into the facility.

Police say several tips and evidence led them to James.
