Now there are versions out there that may say - spare the rod and spoil the child; but they've been "translated" to modern English, I guess, in order that people better understand the Word. But word for word, the saying is not in the Bible to my knowledge. Tired; Proverbs 22:15 correct? Tired; correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you the one that is always putting down the police? Mrz Gibbs I raised My Boys in a christion invirnment and I put the belt on both of them when it was needed. I beleive what my Bible tells me about spare the rod and spoil the child. One works for the r/r and the other one is still in high school. Both are respectable young men and wouldn't dream of shooting or harming anyone outside of self defence. So no I don't think that a good hide tanning teaches that violence is Ok. It teaches them manners and respect. Thats ok if you beleive that way though.... We'll see what kind of monsters you turn loos on the world.
