LITTLE ROCK, AR - A bill in the House would compel the University of Arkansas the Arkansas State University to play a football game against each other, with proceeds going to charity.

According to Roby Brock, with Talk Business, sponsor Adam Mayberry (R-Hensley) says the game would be held at War Memorial and at least $250,000 would be donated to charity. Mayberry has set up a website, www.arkansasasubenefit.com, were the public can vote on whether they would like to pursue the game and where the money should be donated to.

Mayberry says the donations could go to the new Veterans’ Home, War Memorial Stadium, the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, or the Little Rock Zoo.

Apparently the bill has been amended to a one-time game -not an annual occurrence; But to have to LEGISLATE it is MORONIC. Just ASK THEM!

According to Roby Brock's article: " Rep. Andy Mayberry tells Talk Business Arkansas that a web site – www.arkansasasubenefit.com – will go live at 5pm on Tuesday to allow the people of Arkansas to 1) vote on whether or not to pursue the Arkansas-ASU game and 2) decide where the proceeds should be dedicated." We ALL need to VOTE NO. This is STUPID.

While I would like to see them play, I am furious that our elected representatives would waste their time on this issue. Our country is being flushed down the toilet by liberal policies and our elected officials need to adjust their priorities if they think this issue is important.

Sad thing is this takes an act of congress (state level of course) to get these two together. I'm tired of watching that boring high school match up of a first game or those crap games like ULM or UL Lafeyette. Lets form some good ole fashion inner state football hatin. Razorback fan by birth and ASU Indian (Red Wolf) by scholarship.
