LITTLE ROCK, AR – Brinkley Police Chief Michael Edwards was fired on Tuesday.

Brinkley Mayor Bill Hankins sys the chief was terminated after a review of a state police investigation found he violated the city’s personnel policy prohibiting sexual harassment.

Hankins says Cpt. Ed Randles is in charge of the police department.

Edwards’ attorney says prosecutors declined to file any charges against his client. He calls the allegations false and an attempt by a department employee to get back at Edwards for rejecting unwanted sexual advances.

Edwards will appeal this decision during the next city council meeting on August 21st.

Maybe we could get them to reconstruct the crime for us and we could judge the true made up evidence for ourselves.

there's the kind of "sexual harassment" that is egged on by the "victim" and the "victim" only calls it harassment when the "harrasser" stops giving them attention... then you have the REAL sexual harassment that is not warranted in any way, shape or form.....wonder which kind this was.

There is something Arkansas police chiefs get that makes them display some strange sexual behavior. Saline, it may have been Bryant, lonoke and several others.

No charges being filed. Is there not enough evidence or whats the deal? If there was enough evidence to fire him, should have been enough for charges. Or is this really a case of a disgruntled employee? I'd appeal if I was him too. If he did it, let him stay fired, if he didnt do it, let him come back and fire the accuser. I'm gonna sit back and wait for the ones to come on here and claim he was fired because he is black. You know its gonna happen.
