Business Owners React to Aftermath of LR Police Shooting

Some of them had to close their doors when protesters rallied in the streets to voice frustration over the incident.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Monday's high police and protester presence following the shooting of a man by officers temporarily choked off business to many of the nearby stores and shops.

The owners said they had no choice but to shut down for the day.

They say their customers wouldn't have had a place to park if they tried to come in.

It was an overwhelming day they hope to never witness again.

"The automobiles here crowded it. It wasn't any parking places. No one could come in and maneuver so that had a lot to do with things being slow around here," said Charlie Bond, owner of 12th Street Upholstery.

Owners say they hope to recoup the cash they missed out on.
