LITTLE ROCK, AR -- At the Exxon on Colonel Glenn Road, everybody needs gas!
"This took a lot of us by surprise, and we're just trying to really move through it together," Jason Porter said.
Porter said he and his fiance blast the heat to stay warm and then charge up their electronics, checking for updates on the power outages.
"Just trying to stay positive and be patient and ready for this power to hook back up," Porter said.
Inside, the lines stretch to the length of the counter. Folks stock up on snacks to fight off hunger.
"You can't even get in the store so you have to do what you have to do. Even if you don't eat it, you get it to survive," Ronald Dumas said.
The restaurants with power can't seem to keep up with orders. Shark's Fish & Chicken just opened on Colonel Glenn three weeks ago. It seems like it opened up at the right time.
"It was crazy yesterday and so it's far its. We had to close at 6 (Wednesday). We ran out of everything," Owner Richard Sheban said.
Sheban said he requested more food from his supplier today and hopes the weather doesn't delay delivery trucks.
"We'll stay open if not we'll just have to lock up again," Sheban said.
