North Little Rock, Ark. – The state is opening a call center for the residents of Van Buren, Izard, and Lincoln counties who received damages to their homes during the April 10, 2013 severe storms and tornadoes. Residents may be eligible for Arkansas disaster assistance.
The application center and call center hours will be Thursday, April 18-Wednesday, May 1 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
The number of the call center will be 1-888-683-2336 (ADEM). An online application system will also be available 24 hours per day for applicants who wish to apply online during the application period. Applicants should choose only one method to apply. The online application is available at www.adem.arkansas.gov.
Assistance is available for eligible homeowners and renters whose primary residence was destroyed or made uninhabitable and had eligible uninsured losses. Businesses are not eligible for state assistance.
Categories of assistance include the following: Home repairs, personal property repair/replacement; cleaning, sanitizing, and debris removal; repairs/replacement of primary transportation. The following information is needed when applying: Primary homeowners and renters information; Social Security number; damage address, phone number, Email address; and insurance information.
