The holiday shopping season is almost at full tilt and on this week's Chad, Do My Job, I'm going to be working at the Hays Retail Store in Searcy.
The local family shop has been around since the ‘80s, and features all kinds of unique goodies.
"We've got clothing for all your needs, even for kids,” Tyler, one of the owners of Hays said. “Not to mention we have shoes, hunting gear, even some furniture."
Tyler filled me in on the store’s operations and what my duties were.
"Well you'll be going to stock some of our clothes in the back and much, much more,” Tyler said. “I hope you're ready for it."
Holiday shoppers are about to rush into the store next week, so it's time fore me to get to work.
First, I start with unboxing and hanging items up - it's boring but somebody has to do it.
Next, Tyler tells me to fix the boots display.
Then I focus on the hunting gear.
Every now and then, I get distracted - but who wouldn't be with these prices?
$39.99 for these sweaters is a steal - and the sunglasses didn't look bad either.
I get back on track and finish my checklist.
The store is now one step closer to being ready for Black Friday.
