For the preimere edition of Chad: Do My Job, Chad Garneau went to one of the hottest, most historic attractions in all of Arkansas.

You guessed it -- Oaklawn.

Rookies always start at the bottom, and for this racetrack that means the barn area.

Main trainer Steve Berry took care of Chad’s orientation.

Chad set his sights on riding one of those majestic horses but instead, Steve had him cleaning out a horse's stall.

And believe it or not, there's a method to cleaning the mess.

"You take the clean stuff and pile it up in the corner," Steve said. "You clean the dirty stuff and put in the wheelbarrel."

Dirty stuff?

Chad got busy moving the clean hay to one side of the barn and surprisely, didn't run into too much "dirty stuff."

Next came the big show - grabing more hay for the horse stall.

After a few jerks and a pulled muscle, Chad gets the hay down and went to work.

He spread out the new hay into the stall, filled up a bucket with fresh water and called it a day.

Hard to imagine Steve's crew works around the clock, sometimes 24 hours a day, just to look over and clean these horses.

As for Chad – he may be more cutout for the news business.

Next Week

Coming up next week, Chad will return to Oaklawn and to try his hands at driving a tracker to maintain it's one-mile track.
