SEARCY, Ark. (AP) — Authorities in White County say a man is recovering after he was stabbed a dozen times after an apparent altercation at the Searcy Veterans of Foreign Wars post.
The Daily Citizen reports the stabbing happened early Sunday at the VFW on Davis Drive. White County Chief Deputy Jeremy Clark says 22-year-old Jonathan Kuni of Conway was stabbed 12 times with a switchblade-type knife.
Clark says a 33-year-old Searcy man turned himself in and told authorities he acted in self-defense. He has not yet been charged in the stabbing but remains jailed on an unrelated warrant.
Authorities say Kuni was taken to White County Medical Center with injuries that are not life-threatening.
