CONWAY, AR --
Carolyn Lewis Elementary School leaders give us a look a newness: a new building, new desks, and new floors."The biggest thing is it's going to be some wonderful for our children," said Tina Antley, the school principal.
Antley expects students' eyes to get big when they walk into the school later this month. It's an environment equipped with the coolest gadgets out there.
"We're just really trying to get our kids ready for this century of technology to become creators, not just consumers of technology," Antley said.
Teachers have cut their summers short, getting their rooms ready with the most creative learning tools. Reading in a tub is one of them.
"We're so lucky and blessed to have this beautiful building and it's brand new and everything is beautiful, shiny, and colorful," Nicole Gray said.
At Conway High School, it's a dash to have the massive, three-story building ready for nearly 2,000 students.
"Conway's always had great schools so to take an already good system and give us this type of facility," Principal Joel Linn said.
In the old building, students learned in jam-packed classrooms and had a hard time getting into the labs. Now there's plenty of room and an opportunity for every student to achieve.
"One of the students made the comment, 'This is one of those schools you see on television' so we're really excited and the excitement is showing with the kids and parents," Linn said.
