Conway standoff ends peacefully

A standoff in Conway is over. A man with a gun was held up in his home threatening to kill himself.  It all happened near the intersection of Salem and Prince Streets in Conway around 6:30 Thursday night.

Dustin Wear, 26, was talking to his girlfriend on the phone, threatened to kill himself and then fired a shot.  That is when police, SWAT and a negotiator were called to the scene.

At about 8:30 the man came out of the home with out incident.

A nearby duplex was evacuated along with the Oxford Learning Center just as a precaution.
