Today will be almost identical to yesterday, with brutal temperatures in the triple digits and the blazing sunshine overhead.  Considering that heat index values will be at or above 105, the National Weather Service has a Heat Advisory out for Central Arkansas until late this evening.  Besides the heat, there is the opportunity for a brief, small storm in parts of Central Arkansas late this afternoon.

Temperatures will get hotter early this work week.  Thanks to the winds switching westward, we could be looking at temperatures topping out near 110°.  The rest of the week will not be as hot but still topping out in the triple digits.  Needless to say, if you must be outdoors, make sure to drink plenty of water even you don't feel thirsty. Take frequent breaks and stay out of direct sunlight if possible.
