JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — Court dates are set in Jonesboro for a father and daughter who prosecutors say were involved in a murder-for-hire plot to kill the woman's husband.

Michelle Despain and Carl Kelley are charged in the August 2011 shooting death of Jonesboro businessman Marc Despain.

Prosecutor Scott Ellington's office says Michelle Despain is due in court for a Jan. 28 hearing and is to go on trial for capital murder on Feb. 11. Kelley has a Jan. 4 hearing and his murder trial is to begin Jan. 14.

Both have pleaded not guilty while two others reached plea deals in the case.

Johnny Hubbard pleaded guilty to hindering apprehension and was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Terrance Barker pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and was sentenced to 35 years in prison.

Here we go again with these plea deals. 35 years for killing someone. What a joke.
