DECATUR, AR-- A pair of brothers with a plan turned hay bales and plastic into a lot of summer fun.

After successfully building a zip line and slip-n-slide for their father's Fourth of July birthday, Chris and John Callis decided to dive in to a new challenge - turning a small slope on John's farm into a swimming spot.

Chris says the whole set-up cost less than $200 - just some large sheets of plastic, a little glue and a dozen large bales of hay.  The 20'x30' pool was about 4 feet at its deepest and only took a couple of days to put together and fill (using a garden hose).

And while the oasis only lasted a few days - Chris says they had to tear it down last week because the horses were getting into the straw - it has made quite a splash on social media.

An online photo album of the pool was shared on Reddit and has been viewed more than 200,000 times.
