And now back to the story. A cow laying down for 4 days is not good. The vet should have been called out the 2nd day. Can't afford a vet? Then you don't need to be raising cattle. No Joe; I'm not an expert on cattle; but I can pull a calf, give them a shot in the rear if they are sick, or need to have their yearly vacinations; I can get 'em in a headgate by myself, I can worm them with a caulking gun and worm medicine, and I can slosh through knee deep mud and manure to feed them in the winter time. Oh, and break the ice on the pond so they can get to water. Peace out Joe.

One more thing Joe; you and a couple others should start a club of sorts. We Hate ArkansasYankee. I have a few on here that have been on me since I first posted. A cop hater that also enjoys dissing our veterans. Another cop hater; T, where are you, haven't seen you lately; been locked up again? And there is the black thug from Detroit that goes by d; ya'll really should get together, throw back a few, and start a club! There are others that differ with me on occasion; but we for the most part respect our differences in opinion, as Americans should. There are others also. I have one gentleman that enjoys taking a shot at me now and then, not so much lately; we've traded barbs a few times. But I respect and admire him. Him and I have so much in common, it's funny actually. And he shows a great deal of knowledge and common sense when posting. There are others on here I really have a great deal of respect and admiration for also. Some fellow veterans that post often for the most part. A few are bikers also. I don't need to mention their names; they know who they are. And there is a golfer on here: smart man, and his posts are a hoot! There is a Proud Black man on here I vote for sometimes. And sometimes I disagree with him. There is a Black female nurse on here that is a very intelligent lady; she also gets votes from me on occasion; and on occasion, I disagree with her. We are all different in so many ways; and we are all alike in so many ways; yet we are all children of God; is this a great country or what!!!!!!

Hey Joe; ( no reference to Hendrix ya'll ), as most well read and well educated individuals that post on here, I have opinions that I enjoy sharng. Sometimes, I add life experiences I've been through to try and get a point across; it's as simple as that. I'm not trying to toot my own horn; simply relating things I do know about, or have experienced. Do you hate me because of my moniker? ( Sorry if you had to look that up! LOL )It's more of a statement of my favorite baseball team than where I was born. Yes, I was born a Yankee; but Arkansas is my home by choice and chance. I love this state, and most of the people in it. Get over it dude; the War ended 147 years ago! And two thirds of the people with my last name that fought in it; they fought for the South. Please, I beg of you, show us that you are an expert on something other than dissing people; offer up some comments on stories other than dissing me. Try it, you might like it. Most of us enjoy hearing others opinions; whether they differ from ours or not; that's one of the things that makes this such a great country! Freedom of Speech.

JoeBub; May I ask, is there anything you are an expert on; other than dissing others? I've only seen two posts from you; both were aimed at me. No opinions on the story? Ever heard of Robert A. Heinlein? Good reading. Ever heard of his "Specialization is for insects"? I have, or can, do everything on the list, with the exception of programming a computer. Didn't need to take programming classes getting my Network Administration Degree. But I'm sure I could pass a programming class if I were to take one; after all, I did graduate with a 3.78 GPA, with Honors. Tell me boy, are you an insect? Just curious.

TheTruth; when we raised cattle, cow poop smelled like money to me! Dad owned most of the herd, but I owned 5 head. All were fat and happy. Like I said, smelled like money to me! I laughed all the way to the bank after the sale barn in Conway sent me a check every fall.

Butch is correct. If you can't afford to take care of them, take 'em to the sale barn. They will even come and get them for you if you don't have a cattle trailer. The one in Conway has fantastic burgers by the way, or at least they did last time I was there. Yes, JoeBub; I'm an expert on burgers; it's my favorite meal!

What's the problem joebub? My dad and I raised cattle together; so I know a little bit about the subject. I was raised in the Army, and served in the Army; so I've been around the country quite a bit. I've attended one University and two community colleges. I majored in Police Science the first try, partying the 2nd time, and received a computer degree with Honors on the 3rd try. I never had a career to speak of; have done a variety of jobs here and there. I have been an avid reader as long as I can remember; I like to stay informed, and learn new things. But yes, there is a universe full of things out there that I have little or no knowledge of. I've seen two posts by you. Both were cuts aimed at me. Gotta be a rough life when one has to post such rude comments. Anti social perhaps? That's your problem, not mine. I'll stack my score up against yours anytime, and we can use Terman's Classification or Wechsler's; doesn't matter to me. Goodnight JoeBub.
