Fox16 wants you to log onto Fox16.com and sign an anti-bullying pledge. The pledge will be one small aspect of Fox16's continued effort to stop bullying. Tomorrow night before the 9 p.m. newscast, a $20 Subway gift card will be given at random to someone who has signed the pledge.
The effort is part of a 4-part series highlighting the issue of bullying and some unique ways area schools and agencies are working to put a stop to it. The campaign began during Fox16 News at 9 p.m. Monday with a special story from Kevin Kelly. Kelly will be the spokesperson for the campaign titled "Step Up, Stop Bullying."
Kelly will be joined by reporters Dustin Barnes and Jocelyn Tovar this week in presenting stories about bullying. After those stories air, viewers will be asked to log onto Fox16.com and sign the anti-bullying pledge.
This Thursday, Kelly will host a live Twitter town hall on Fox16.com from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participants will be able to view the event online and ask questions by tweeting with the hashtag #ARbullying. The event will include students, experts from LRSD and representatives from the Attorney General's Office.
If you wish to participate in the Twitter town hall, you can go ahead and tweet your questions now or head over to Fox16.com and submit a question using a web form.
