As my husband was a colleague of Trent and we all went to college together, I can't believe there is no information on this case. I realize you can't release information in hopes you can find the person responsible. In St. Louis, this case would have been solved by now. With his position on the board and all the "Bad Doctors" in this world, he was not one of them. It has to be a physician who was trying to beat the system and with the malpractice insurance being raised because of bad doctors, they should check out all the physicians who recently lost their license. I am sure you have already thought of this, but people just don't walk thru a subdivision and say "let's pick this drive way for a bomb". As colleagues, we are all so upset over this and pray for the whole family. Hopefully, he will recover and be able to tell the story. LOL

Dr Pierce was my doctor when I lived in Memphis. I was going through a rough time and he was a very sympathetic and gentle soul. I pray for him and his family.

What a terrible thing to happen. My thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Pierces' family. I hope whoever is responsible will be caught and arrested soon.

The news media innitially reported that this blast was felt a mile away. When you look at the pictures and see that the vehicle had no window damages it's hard to believe that the early comments were factual. However, it does look like it was a directional blast aimed at a driver approaching his vehicle and was probably set off by the driver's remote when he was trying to unlock the driver's door as he approached. Someone had substantial technical knowledge to pull this off.
