FAULKNER COUNTY, AR - A judge sentenced Faulkner County Doctor Byron Kevin Beaver to 90 years behind bars for three counts of raping a seven-year-old boy. Beaver won't be eligible for parole until he's 104-years-old.

"Basically that's a life sentence," said Prosecuting Attorney Cody Hiland, "and in that the Supreme Court won't let us seek the death penalty on these monsters who rape children, that's probably as good as we can do."

During Beaver's trial, his victim -- seven at the time, now eight -- testified.

"That's difficult under any circumstances, but when it's somebody that you trust it's even more difficult," said Hiland. "His courage and his bravery is the reason we're sitting here today with a conviction."

Beaver's defense attorney declined an on-camera interview.

David Hogue represents Beaver's soon-to-be ex-wife.

"When a man does this kind of thing, or even a woman I suppose, does this kind of thing to a small child, that life will never be the same," he said.

Beaver has 30 days to appeal. His lawyer says at this time they aren't sure if they'll appeal or not.

This is not good enough!!!!! 90 yrs, so we front the bill for his housing. I agree ArkYankee...feem himself to himself. Winnie soup and so on. Yes hang him, behead him or whatever. The point is, he should not be living!!!! I hope his fellow inmates take care of him.

I would like to know how a child that young was alone with the doc long enough for that to occur. What parent does not take the child back to an exam room? Oh and if you think the courts will send this guy to general population so he now becomes the "receiver" of his own actions... you've got a wake-up call coming. Because of his status and education level, he will most likely be sent to a "ClubFed" and have his own nice cell with TV and books.

I guess the question is who is sicker this dude for attacking a child or the wacho that wants to go after the man's privates.

I like Leathernecks idea. Reminds me of the Deadwood series. Well, if we are going to feed him for that long, I say his first meal should consist of his privates! Chop 'em off, make a stew, serve it to him.

Plenty of wild hogs that could handle this in less than 90 years.

armyofone, the reason you and I, along with the rest of the taxpayers, have to foot the bill to keep this piece of garbage alive is due to the lack of sense at the Supreme Court. If the Supreme Court will not allow prosecutors to seek the death penalty for crimes like this, it is time to clear out the Supreme Court (which must truly be the "high" court) and put people in there as well as in other offices that will change the fact that these pedophiles cant get a death sentence.

The reason for it army of one is because we don't want them out on the street raping our children. I know it's a high cost but look at the child safety. We need to get our laws changed to open the death penalty for this. Then get our law makers to get off the old gas maker and make our death penalty fit the constitution. It's worth every dime to me. Then at the yank. That long hair has cost me some time on the side of the road. If their wasting my time someone else is getting through.

What I do not get is why the tax payers have to foot the bill tell he is a 103. Arkansas Yankee that was a very truthful statement.
