dgcg; You can't be serious. Hunting for food always has been a part of our culture. I don't hunt myself, but have many friends that do. They love deer meat. I prefer beef and fish myself. Granny; we get them in the yard also; but they won't allow us to get close enough to pet them. Me? I always root for the deer this time of year. Not against hunting mind you, but I like rooting for the underdog. I also often wonder this time of year how many would go into the woods if the deer could shoot back! LOL Not near as many I'm willing to bet.

I pet them in my back yard. Know I should't. Makes them to friendy and an easy target.

My son and I both got a nice doe yesterday morning up here in Stone county. Beautiful morning to hunt. He shot his at about 180 yards with a Savage Bull Barrel .308. I shot mine at *cough* 30 yards right in the neck with my AR 15. Great day.
