Driver dies in accident in 40/440 interchange

LITTLE ROCK, AR – The driver of an 18-wheeler died in an accident at the 40/440 interchange Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Arkansas State Police report, 53-year-old Ronald Tate was driving from I-440 eastbound to I-40 westbound when he lost control of his tractor trailer. It hit a tree and rolled onto its side.

Tate was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident happened at 4:39pm. The report says it was raining at the time and the road was wet.

I don't know exactly where that happened, but if Arkansas was any other state WE WOULD HAVE A "GRADE" SIGN ON THAT HILL FROM CANTRELL TO THE RIVER GOING NORTH TO PUT A STOP TO THOSE WRECKS... Bless this man's family.
