A pair of men pleaded guilty this week after an investigation revealed they took photographs from a local business and then sold them on eBay.

Christopher Jackson, 38, of Alexander and Steve Roby, 61, of North Little Rock face charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Authorities say the men worked for Rogers Photo Archives. At one point, they begin diverting money from the business to their personal Paypal accounts. Soon after, they began taking pictures from the business and listing them on eBay. Police think they took roughly 100,000 photographs worth approximately $2 million.

The investigation found the duo sold roughly 8,000 photos on eBay and made more than $130,000.

"I am happy to report the thousands of photos recovered will be returned to their rightful owner," stated United States Attorney Christopher Thyer in a news release. “It is a good day when we can bring justice to a business owner who has worked hard to build a reputable business. With the return of these photos, the archive of photos will be greatly restored and the thieves who thought they could profit from them are facing serious time in prison for their greed.”

Sentencing is set for a later date.
