Storms that raked across Alabama on Monday afternoon left about 250-thousand homes and businesses without electricity.

One of the power companies asked Entergy Arkansas for some help with service restoration.

This morning, a caravan of five bucket trucks and another four or five smaller support vehicles departed from Entergy's Baseline Service Center at 8109 Baseline Road in Little Rock.

This represents a contingent of about 20 employees who will be traveling from central Arkansas.

Similar groups will be leaving from four other regions around the state.
