Evidence Left at Scene Leads Police to Burglary Suspect

BENTON, AR -- Police arrested a man on Tuesday they say stole several items from someone's apartment.

According to the Benton Police Department (BPD), officers responded to the burglary call at Dogwood Lakes Apartments just before 3:00 Tuesday afternoon, where they found evidence that led them to 23-year-old Dustin Hines.

Hines was arrested and charged with residential burglary, theft of property, possession of a controlled substance and obstructing governmental operations, and also had an active warrant out of Faulkner County for probation revocation.

BPD says the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be possible in the future.
