CLARKSVILLE, Ark. (AP) - State officials say an experimental aircraft crashed Wednesday afternoon in Johnson County, injuring the pilot.

Tommy Jackson, a spokesman for the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management, said the experimental aircraft had a "hard setdown" after its engine stalled while flying near Batson Mountain.

He said the pilot was taken to a local hospital by a private vehicle. He did not have the man's name and did not know what condition he was in.

The tail number identifies the plane as a Kolb Mark III single-engine aircraft, built in 1995. It is registered to Tate Isaac of Ozark.

Officials received a call about the crash around 1:30 p.m.
