Hunters packed the Arkansas State Fairgrounds Sunday for the Big Buck Classic, and, despite the rough economy, people are spending money.
The Wilkinsons enjoy hunting. The whole family is getting into it, well, almost.
"I just don't have time to. The kids love it. The girls are wanting to. They're getting to the age to where they're wanting to start hunting," says April Wilkinson.
But, in the Fletcher household, Stephaine at least gave it a shot.
"I have been, I just don't enjoy it," she says.
"I took her one time, and she saw more deer than anybody, and she didn't come back home and bag it, so I figured it was easier for her to stay home and me and my little girl go do it all," says David Fletcher.
Sunday, they checked out the snakes and of course the shopping.
It's Tracy Harmon's third year selling clothes at the Big Buck Classic, and while he wasn't sure how it would pan out this time, he says he's making more money than ever before.
"It's just a little bit of a gamble because you pay quite a lot to get in one of these shows, and it's a lot of work to bring all the merchandise to it, so you just have to put a lot of hard work in it and make it work when you get here," he says.
And in the deer woods, the Wilkinsons have already seen their hard work pay off.
"I killed one, and he killed one," says Ray Wilkinson.
