In an interview with Justin Fletcher's uncle, Kenneth, he expressed outrage with Little Rock police, saying his nephew is innocent.
"Justin is lovable, friendly, he's in school, he doesn't bother anybody. He's an all around good guy,” Kenneth Fletcher said. Investigators say Fletcher, along with Charles Robinson and an unidentified teen, went to the Site gas station on Asher Avenue and sprayed bullets at the car, where Jasmine Young and three other people sat in. Young died while two others sustained injuries.
"I want to give my condolences to the young girl and her family and the rest of the victims but now they're making us a victim,” Brittney Daniel said.
Fletcher’s cousin Brittney said she can vouch for his whereabouts Wednesday night during the time of the shooting. The two of them had been together. The day, police showed up at his house with guns!
"I know he didn't do this. I hope he gets out.," Jasmine McPherson, Justin’s girlfriend, said.
Family members say Justin knows the other two people accused in the murder but he wasn’t with them that night. They say police will hear from them until Fletcher is out.
"We apologize to the family for their loss but we will not be a victim and we will not stand back and lose ours,” Kenneth said.
