LITTLE ROCK, AR – A fire in Faulkner County caused the voluntary evacuation of 12 homeowners in the Mt. Vernon area Tuesday afternoon.

The fire burned about a mile and a half of property near Bristol Cutoff Road and Carmichael Road, according to the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office. No buildings were damaged and there were no injuries.

Another fire burned about 5 acres near Lake Conway, on North Madrid Drive. Earlier it was reported that 2 mobile homes burned down, but fire crews on scene say that no structures burned down and that the mobile homes were only threatened. Nobody was injured in the fire.
