Forest Place Apartments Catch Fire for Seventh Time, Residents Want Out of Leases

Fire crews called to Little Rock complex on North University Avenue early Friday morning.
Update (4:00 p.m.):
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A fire rips through a Little rock apartment complex -- for the seventh time since February.

It happened overnight at the Forest Place apartment complex on North University Avenue.

Firefighters say it started in one unit but several others received smoke damage.

This complex has seen a series of fires, particularly the fire last month that displaced 130 tenants and left $4-million in damage.

We found some tenants who say they're fed up with the fires, so they're moving out. They hold management responsible.

"There's only so much you can do. Our life is more important than sticking it out there, but they've been unresponsive throughout the whole deal," says resident Ryan Gattin.

We reached out to management and corporate leaders at the complex and are awaiting a news release from them.
